A Sweet as Week

This week was filed with so much fun. At school we had dance lessons and sports day. We learned all about sounds and adding. The kids are so so cute and are respecting me more. They can be a handful at times but they are truly the best! I love their little creative minds. I am starting to take over and it goes by so fast. The activities we do for learning are such fun. I feel engaged when teaching it and I can tell the kids when learning it, most of the the time, are too!

On the weekend we headed to the Bay of Islands. We ate delicious food and played at the beach. Saturday we sail-boated around the islands. We stopped at an island for lunch and relaxation. The wind prevented us from getting into the water but the beach was perfectly fine with us and we were able to kayak with a see through bottom kayak. For lunch we had sandwiches, cookies, and a golden kiwi fruit. It was delicious! We sailed around after our stop and enjoyed the views. Laine and I saw a penguins head! It was so cute. The views were amazing and the water was so blue.

When we docked the boat, we looked over and saw a huge sting ray! The lady next to us said that we had just missed a shark. Darn it. Another person said that sting rays are often as big as sailboats. I had no idea!

We then headed to hot water springs. It smelled bad but it sure felt nice after a long day!

On Sunday we first stopped at the beach and then Erin and I had Pad Thai for lunch. It was amazing to eat and the view was even better (the beach, not Erin :P ). Our trek home was not too bad because the views were so green. The snacks Sarah packed also saved us from boredom... We also stopped at a scenic outlook for pictures. It was breathtaking.
